"Nero" is an experiment in devising film. Two other talented artists I really want to work with: an actor and a make-up artist. I start by asking them both to tell me 5 themes they are interested in exploring in their work. Then I start filming interviews and improvs with Aidan. That leads to bits of a script incorporating special-effect and make-up themes from Casey. We film more staged scenarios, record audio based on themes in my own work, and slowly a piece emerges. Still in the editing phase.
